The fabric using MURON has been adopted for HELLY HANSEN's H2O PROJECT® spring/summer 2025 products.
The weft of the fabric is made of “MURON”, which is made from 100% discarded fishing nets collected in Japan,
HELLY HANSEN, an outdoor brand founded in Norway in 1877,
has adopted the fabric as part of the H2O PROJECT® for the 2025 spring/summer season.
H2O PROJECT® is a brand project with the motto “Everything we can do for the sea and water.”
The project is a combination of the initials “H” of Helly Hansen and the initials “O” of Ocean,
The name H2O PROJECT® was chosen to make the responsibility of protecting
“water” and “oceans” a more continuous activity.

MURON fabric is used for both the short sleeve basque shirt (unisex) and basque mid-shorts (unisex).
In addition, Yasuhiro Funazaki, Deputy Director of the Sustainable Promotion Office at Morito Apparel Co., Ltd., was interviewed about the background of the initiatives through "MURON" and the thoughts embedded in them.

HELLY HANSEN
This outdoor brand was founded in Norway in 1877.
For over 140 years since its founding, the company has pursued waterproof technology and developed innovative products to coexist with nature.
In addition, the company is concerned about the future of children
and is taking action to leave behind clean oceans where children can play for the next 100 years.

About MURON
Through the "Rideeco®" project, Morito Group has strengthened its efforts to contribute to the realization of a sustainable resource-recycling society.
"MURON," which was born from this project, is a new platform business that can provide sustainable beauty.
Morito Apparel has collaborated with each company to utilize their strengths,
and "MURON" has achieved the same quality and stability as virgin, and the depolymerization process has made it compatible with various environmentally hazardous substance certificates.
In addition, we are promoting manufacturing that emphasizes traceability for this "MURON."
Furthermore, we are considering collaborating with various companies in Japan and overseas to sell staple (short fibers), spun yarn, and pellets made from discarded fishing nets collected in Japan.
